Tirth
It is on a hillock near the village, Dharmasthal.
Historicity
The ancient name of this tirth was ‘Kuduma’. This temple is more than a thousand years old. The charitable Jain merchant Hedge built this temple. Even today the members of his family look after the temple. Jains and pilgrims are provided with Boarding and lodging free of charge and this is very praiseworthy. It always seems as if a fair is held here. This is a center of co-ordination of all religions. On the auspicious occasion of Diwali in the month of Kartak, a conference of Sarvadharma Sahitya is held here every year.
Other Temples
In the Hedge Bhavan, there are two temples. On the hill outside the village, there is a very splendid idol of Bahubali in the Khadgasana posture.

The sculpture of the temple is ancient and full of beauty and delight. Also, for its natural beauty, this tirth is famous all over India.
Guidelines
The tirth is at a distance of 65 kilometers from Mangalore. Bus service and private vehicles are available. There are neat and clean dharmashalas and bhojanshalas. There are many other dharmashalas also in the village.
