Historicity
This tirth belongs to the times of Bhagawan Mahavir. His elder brother, Nandivardhan, built here a splendid temple and installed the idol here. This temple was renovated many times. In the past, this was, perhaps, a vast city. This temple among the hills in the dreadful forest, reminds us of its antiquity. This tirth is one of the Chhoti Marwad group of five tirths. The ancient temple of this style in the pleasant and peaceful atmosphere in a lonely forest far away from the city is indeed very rare.
