Historicity

Of the group of the five tirths of West bangal, this is a chief tirth. It is believed that the temple was built nearly 150 years ago. The idol is very ancient. Many rich Jain merchants came to settle here. This city, therefore, became rich and prosperous. In this tirth, many rich Jain merchants participated in religious activities and activities of human welfare. This is a noteworthy fact.

The building style of the chief temple of Bhagawan Sambhavanath is extraordinary and distinct. The steps are wide and the gate is large and artistic. The outside scene of the temple looks like that of a palace or a museum. The art of the idol is spectacular. In the temple of Vasupujaya Bhagawan nearly the hand - painted ancient paintings are very beautiful and splendid.

Bus services and private vehicles are available. In the compound of the temple of Vasupujaya Swami, there are boarding and lodging provisions and there is also an ayambilshala, Pilgrims are given food for using on the journey.
