Tirth
It is at a distance of 1 Kilometer from the Gadhva Koshal village on the bank of the Yamuna river.
Historicity
The history of this ancient tirth belongs to the times of Bhagawan Padmaprabhu. According to the Digambar gachchha, this is the land of four Kalyanakas of Bhagawan. God Kuber constructed the first samavasarana of Bhagawan here. In times of Bhagawan Mahavir, King Shatanik ruled here. Bhagawan Mahavir many times came here wandering about and his samavasrana was also setup here. This ancient tirth is mentioned in the 'Vividh Tirth kalpa' and many other scriptures written between the 14th century and the 18th century of the Vikram era. Some time in the past, this was a large city but in course of time, it is reduced to small village. The fort with twenty gates built by Maharani Mrugavati of King Shatani, lies today in a ruined state. It reminds one of its antiquities. This was the birth - place of Kapil Kevali. This Holy Land of many historical events, has a glorious history.
