It is at a disntance of five kilometers from Tikamgadh and on the Tikamgadh - Jabalpur highway.
Historicity
This tirth can be known as a city of temples. Very many idols in the temples of this place bear inscriptions of the twelfth century, carved on them. The ancient name of this place was Pampapur. This temple was renovated in the year 1718 of the Vikram era. The thick forest spread all around this place, is called Ramanta (Ramaranya). Many miracles happen here. e.g. Vessels come out of the stepped well,. and water suddenly comes out from a dry well. Many faithful devotess come here to be cured of fever and many other diseases by the water of this well. This well is known as ‘Patarakhan’. A fair is held here every year from the thirteenth to the fifteenth day of the bright half of the month of Kartak.

In this fort there are 108 temples with large pinnacles and of various sculptures.
