Shri Shantinath Bhagwan
Bhagwan Shantinath was born in Hastinapur to King Vishvasena and Queen Achira Devi of the Ikshvaku dynasty. His name, meaning "Lord of Peace," reflected the divine calm and auspiciousness that spread across the land at his birth. His symbol is the deer, representing gentleness, serenity, and spiritual grace.
He was both a Tirthankara and a Chakravarti, ruling the six continents with justice before renouncing worldly life. After years of intense asceticism, he attained Kevalgyan under the Nandi tree, and his teachings emphasized peace, non-violence, and liberation from karmic bondage.
Bhagwan Shantinath attained moksha at Sammed Shikharji, becoming a Siddha, eternally free from the cycle of birth and death.
