Shri Neminath Bhagwan

Shri Neminath Bhagwan

Born in Shauripur to King Samudravijay and Queen Shivadevi of the Yadav dynasty, Neminath was cousin to Lord Krishna and Balram. His birth was marked by 14 auspicious dreams, signaling the arrival of a great spiritual soul. On the eve of his wedding to Princess Rajulmati, he witnessed animals tied for slaughter and was overcome with compassion. This moment sparked his renunciation, and he left worldly life behind.

He attained Keval Gnan under a bamboo tree, and his teachings emphasized compassion, detachment, and liberation from karmic bondage. His symbol (laanchhan) is the Conch (Shankha), and he attained moksha at Girnar Hills, a sacred site of pilgrimage.
