Shri Parshvanath Bhagwan

Shri Parshvanath Bhagwan

Born in Varanasi to King Ashwasen and Queen Vamadevi, Parshwanath belonged to the Ikshvaku dynasty, known for its spiritual lineage. His birth was marked by 14 auspicious dreams and a radiant aura, symbolizing his future as a spiritual guide. At age 30, he renounced royal life after witnessing a sage harming a serpent trapped in fire—this moment awakened his deep compassion and led to diksha under a Devdaru tree.

He attained Keval Gnan and preached four core vows: Ahimsa (non-violence), Satya (truth), Asteya (non-stealing), and Brahmacharya (chastity). His symbol (laanchhan) is the serpent, and he attained moksha at Sammed Shikharji, surrounded by divine beings including Dharanendra Yaksha and Padmavati Devi
