Shri Padamprabhu Swami Bhagvan
Bhagwan Padmaprabha, meaning "radiant like a lotus," was born in Kaushambi to King Dharan and Queen Susima of the Ikshvaku dynasty. His birth was marked by auspicious signs, including his mother’s desire to rest on a bed of lotus flowers—hence his name and symbol: the red lotus, representing purity and spiritual awakening.
In a previous life, he was King Aparajit, known for his truthfulness and detachment. After hearing a Tirthankara's discourse, he renounced worldly life and performed intense spiritual practices, earning the Tirthankar-nama-gotra-karma.
As Padmaprabha, he ruled with compassion before taking diksha. Within six months, he attained Kevalgyan under the Priyangu tree, and his Samavasaran inspired deep detachment by describing the sufferings of the four gatis (life forms). He attained moksha at Sammed Shikharji, guiding countless souls toward liberation.
