Shri Suvidhinath Bhagwan
Bhagwan Suvidhinath, also known as Pushpadanta, was born in Kakandi to King Sugriva and Queen Rama Devi of the Ikshvaku dynasty. His name reflects auspiciousness and divine order, while his alternate name, Pushpadanta (“flower-toothed”), arose from the lotus-like shape of his teeth. His symbol is the crocodile, representing vigilance and spiritual strength.
In a previous life, he was King Mahapadma, a devout ruler who renounced worldly life and performed intense austerities, earning the Tirthankar-nama-gotra-karma. After taking diksha, Suvidhinath attained Kevalgyan (omniscience) within four months under the Nāga tree, and delivered profound teachings on Asrava bhavana—the subtle influx of karmas.
He attained moksha at Sammed Shikharji, becoming a Siddha, free from the cycle of birth and death.
