All this shows that this temple belongs to a period prior to the twelfth century. The ruins, the ancient vav (stepped well) and wells that are found here show that this was a big city in the past. This is the place of origin of the Brahman gachchha. The sun temple here is among the famous sun temples of India. A fair is held here on the thirteenth day of the bright half of the month of Chaitra every year. At present, this temple is under renovation.
